M27, also known as the Dumbbell Nebula, is a bright planetary nebula located in the constellation Vulpecula, about 1,200 light-years away. Formed from the outer layers of a dying star, its intricate structure and vibrant colors reveal glowing ionized gases, primarily hydrogen and oxygen. This is similar to what will happen to our own sun when it reaches the end of its life.
