The Wizard Nebula

My first MONO image! NGC7380 or the Wizard nebula in constellation Cepheus!

I have been wanting to go mono for a while. However I was contemplating since I am under notoriously cloudy skies of Michigan. Also the extra work involved in shooting mono was daunting to say the least. It sure was a task to push myself out of the comfort zone. However, all of these feelings were blown away as soon as I saw the first sub in Ha that came out of my camera! I couldn't believe I had avoided mono all this while.

I bought the 294mm Pro especially because its 2 cameras in one with bin1 being unlocked by @zwoasi. Plan is to keep shooting mono for narrowband imaging but come the galaxy season, I will roll back to my trusty old 294MC pro. Best of both worlds I hope!

Coming back to the target - NGC 7380 or the Wizard Nebula is a young open cluster of stars in constellation of Cepheus being surrounded by a lot of nebulosity. It is located approximately 7,200 light-years away from Earth.
